NOI Techpark

In recent years, the NOI Techpark has developed from an old factory into a new neighborhood where companies, research institutes and universitiy are driving innovation. This is where the new Faculty of Engineering of the Free University of Bozen-Bolzano is located.

CERME14 is mainly held in the faculty building. Nevertheless, some working groups will be in the neighbouring buildings.
Everything is within walking distance, and at the same time we are in a cosy, protected environment.

The main entrance is located at Via Volta 13/A, 39100 Bozen-Bolzano
However, you can access Building B1 also from Via Bruno Buozzi, 39100 Bozen-Bolzano

A place steeped in contemporary history welcomes CERME14

 

The enclave of buildings that will host our congress has a recent story but not without significance: from its first nucleus, founded in 1937, the lot of buildings recounts the culture of industrial work through an architectural interpretation of value that can still be seen in the most recent interventions, including the most recent one in 2024: the new headquarters of the unibz Faculty of Engineering.

Just to cite one example: the hall hosting the opening and plenary sessions of CERME14 used to be a huge foundry. The overhead crane on its ceiling is a golden testimony to years of metal production.
